I OUGHT TO BE IN PICTURES
by Neil Simon
directed by:  Bob Tolaro
I OUGHT TO BE IN PICTURES is Neil Simon's high-spirited and touching portrait of an unlikely family reunion. Libby (Cassie Fitzgerald) is a 19-year old Brooklyn native who hitches a ride to Los Angeles to make it in the movie industry. Looking for fame, she is also desperate to find her wayward father, who abandoned her as a small child. Michael Stuart stars as Herb, Libby's father - a failed screenwriter living a life of gambling and booze. The Hollywood has-been is forced to face his past when his daughter appears on the doorstep of his Hollywood bungalow. At the same time, Herb is in danger of losing his longtime girlfriend Steffy (Amy Mcandrew), because of his fear of commitment and dysfunctional ways.  The self-assured Libby moves in with Herb, demanding that he help her break into the business and face his long-forgotten parental duties. Sparks fly and emotions run high as Libby and Herb battle for mutual acceptance.
