LAST TRAIN TO NIBROC
October 9, 2004
October 15-30, 2004
A long-running off-Broadway hit, Nibroc was a triumph at both the Edinburgh and Spoleto Festivals and was nominated for Best Play in 1999 by the New York Drama League.
Rod Mechem and Rebecca Robinson star in this ultimately charming romantic comedy which weaves the lives of May, a young religious woman from Corbin, Kentucky, and Raleigh, a would-be writer recently discharged from the Army during World War II. The play follows the two characters over a span of three years, beginning with a serendipitous meeting on a train. A precarious relationship develops, culminating in a surprise ending.
